Short ram??
Short ram??
Hi folks, I'm considering getting a CAI but a ,little confused as to the difference between the INJEN CAI and a short ram CAI? Seems to me that the short ram would be easier to install, clean and maintain. Is there is difference performanance wise? is one easier to install?? thanks in advance for advise
btw: i have a '08 BS G37S 6MT loaded with everything except the 4WAS

Short "ram" isn't a CAI, its pulling air from the engine so its going to be warm/hot whatever you want to call it.
Colder air is more dense, higher O2 concentration and higher combustibility when combined with fuel and spark.
CAI = more gains, harder to install $$$
SRI = less gains, easier to install $$

If you're looking to install the Injen CAI, perhaps these ladies can help you.

Might be a good idea to watch it first to see if its worth your troubles.

It is only void for the part you are replacing since it is an aftermarket part and not OEM, in your case the OEM intakes. Or if they can PROVE that the intakes caused a problem that the OEM's would not have.
