When I installed my Stillens, I had to modify it A LOT to make it fit and still it has rattling and banging issues. Fitment and quality is not the best, but damn the power gains are worth it.

I did the same rubber tubing thing on mine.

However, my intakes are loud as hell at WOT. They even drown out my Tanabe exaust when you floor it. I dont understand why yours arent loud.

I'm not sure, I am going to loosen the drivers side again today after work and check it out.

What's sad is that Stillen refuses to help/speak to me about these issues because I did not purchase them directly from them. Talk about pathetic customer service and not standing by your product or name.

This is the last time I purchase their product again!

The R2C sounds like it might be a good option. I just can't get over how ugly it looks in the engine bay. The heat sheild is fugly and the filter doesn't look good either. Just my opinon.

The reviews look good though.

Sorry to hear, but it sounds like something went wrong because not a lot of people with Stillen are having that problem. So hopefully it's not the intake, maybe some adjustment can be made.

I had mine put on by the mechanics at Stillen and it took one person about an hour to do the install. Didn't remove the bumper. Everything fits fine with no rubbing. When Tadashi re-tuned the car after the upgrade he told me he was very surprised at how much HP they made.

You mean he just removed the upper side clips and left it hanging there?

I mean there's not much adjustment that can be made. I will triple check it after work today. The passenger side sits perfectly though

I have heard literally almost every single Intake available for the g37, and the Status Elite Intake still takes the win for the loudest! Some idiot at the light thought I had a supercharger after I gunned it on him LOL. I had the Injen c.a.i too, I love that thing also!! I'm not a fan of any stillen products at all, nothing was ever right or did 100% what it claimed it could do. In my opinion and my experience of course.

I personally think this intake isn't worth the money. Power might be there but the look and sound isn't as good as injen. Also from the design, it looks like it run lean as hell.

Buy some rubber hoses and cut in half and put behind the pipe near the driver side

Mine fit like crap. I spent some time modifying mine to get it to fit properly. Mainly drilling a new hole in the crossmember and spacing the filter bracket out towards the front of the car so that they are straight and it doesn't rub the shock tower.
