Black Injen CAI scratch repair

I recently bought a set of used black Injen CAI and when they arrived I saw numerous scratches. Most are hairline scratches and one is a definite rubbing mark that has removed all paint down to the metal (albeit out of sight).

What is the best method to correct hese scratches - paint, polish, spray paint? They are not yet installed.

How about black nail polish or glossy black touch up paint?

Maybe just wax and buff the whole pipes? That should remove all the hairline scratches. Obviously it won't replace the paint that's been scraped off.

OP did mention in the 1st post that they were used.
Try touch up paint ant then waxing/buffing them out.

If bought used, I personally wouldn't mind the scratches. I think you're bound to get the scratches and isn't it hidden when installed? I dunno thats just me haha.

Quick way to get rid of the scatches is sell the used ones, (to me for a low price) and buy new ones. LOL.

Yes they were used and they are now installed. To repair, I used a very fine sandpaper (2000 grit) to rough them up, then spray painted twice with high gloss black with light sanding in between. I followed this with 2 layers of clear coat. Seemed to make it all go away. Anyways, when installed I don't see anything obvious.

On a bright note, when I installed the new windshield washer fluid bottle that comes with the Injen kit, I was able to transfer the low level sensor to the new bottle. I see others have just tied it up. I'll start a new post on this with photos.
