Stillen Gen 3 is more of a ram air intake.
I guess the only way to prove it would be to tape a thermometer to the filter endcap. Personally I think it's a waste of time, the performance differences between intakes are virtually nill, for me what's more important is an easy no mod install, engine protection, great sound and looks.

EDIT: Proven- take a look at post 1 intake temps.

Updated comment on how much sound is intake vs exhaust, actually the the intake is the throaty growl, the rest is the exhaust.

Ha, my intake company filed chapter 11, couldn't get people to buy a filter made with cotton.

Being classified as a short ram (WAI), CAI, and ram air intake is in terms of intake tubing design rather than actual air temps.

I see what you're saying but don't agree there's only one way to design a CAI. The point is to intake cold air, they each use different designs and each have pro's and con's.

Hey thanks for posting your review. Congrats on the intakes.

On your video, was your window and/or sunroof open or closed?

On the first run, all windows up, second and remaining runs drivers window down only. Too much wind noise with both down. Sound didn't come out as well as I was able to get with past videos, wanted to get something up quick though. Turn up the volume helps and with the last segment you can hear the throaty growl better.

hey Red, I just got mine delivered today. I'll install this over the weekend. But Staples stated that in the other thread that this intakes fired a CEL code less than 24 hours of usage? Did this problem happened to you?

He also installed the COBB AP, it's a flash issue, he just needs to reflash the ECU.
