I just had Stillen put on the Gen 3 intake today. I felt an immediate difference right when I drove off the lot. I drove from Costa Mesa to San Berdo and put the car through its paces. I've never dynoed my car and probably never will but all I can say is you wont be dissapointed with this product. You will feel an immediate power difference in TQ and HP. This would be a great first mod for somebody. Lots of bang for the buck.

I have a 5AT with Stillen's exhaust, HFC's, grounding wires, and the UR pulley. I have also had a reflash done at Technosquare. On Monday I will be back at Technosquare for another reflash with this new bolt on. I'll see if Tadashi can coax even more out of it. I'll post up if it makes a difference.

I am not affiliated with Stillen. I have kept buying their products because I have always felt a power difference when driving off their lot with a new bolt-on.

^^Make sure you get some dynos from Tadashi and post them in the dyno sticky in the Engine Tech area.

Yes, I would love to rear/hear what Tadashi has to say about these intakes and see the reults.

When do you plan on seeing him?

To answer the overheating concerns...

Overheating- Will not be an issue. This evening I was talking to a good friend of mine who was telling me about a track day in the next month or two. I will gather more information on the upcoming track day and try to take one of our G's. Obviously we're going into the cooler months so it won't be 90-100+ outside but I will do my best to overheat it...I promise!

So we're supposed to take your word for it? I think I will wait until we get some non-related reviews from an unbiased track enthusiast.

Kyle, I don't want to come off as offensive when I bring up this particular issue, but I think you have quite a potential problem on your hands yet yourself including Stillen have failed to come up with hard facts regarding this issue.

It gives me the feeling that Stillen just releases product without the necessary R&D to make this particular intake safe. It's not only making power that counts Kyle, but also mechanical safety and reliability.

Someone is dropping the ball over there regarding some of this info.
We're waiting for the test results. I would presume Stillen would spend hours upon hours on the dyno and in real world conditions testing this product to see exactly if there is a potential issue at hand.
I have a feeling that hasn't really taken place, yet you have the product already available for purchase..

I don't know Kyle, I'm really skeptical about all of this.
Again, this isn't an attack on yourself nor Stillen. Just explaining how I feel about this matter. I'm sure other members can agree that this bit of information that I am requesting is quite important.

You know what's hillarious is quite a few people on this forum have gone out and replaced thier grilles with the ever popular mesh grille or billet grille and for some strange reason never seem to worry about the fact they reduced air intake to the radiator. Now stillen puts a what 3" tube and a couple of flters in front of it and we're all worried the engines going to burn up. Yep air will hit that tube and bounce right back out the front..lol, sorry this is funny sheit.

No offense taken and please don't take offense to my response...

Let's be serious for a minute. We have been working on this intake for over 9 months now. We have engineered, tested, and tossed out over 50 other designs because our TESTING proved that this new intake was the best. If you don't believe me on how many intakes we have tested I would be happy to ask my engineers to put together a dyno chart and you can count all of the dyno pulls for yourself...

You guys don't know me personally and I can respect that there would be some skepticism here but let's look at the company history for a minute. Our company founder is a retired, professional race-car driver. With more wins in the IMSA sports car series than any other driver in the history of the series. He has wins at the 24 hours of Le Mans, 24 hours of Daytona, and the 12 hours of Sebring. Not to mention two series championships in IMSA, 2 in Mickey Thompson off-road trucks, and numerous championships and wins in everything from rally cars to single seaters to saloon cars. I think he knows what it takes to develop a part that won't cause the car to over heat when it is on the race track.

We have been specializing in Nissan/Infiniti vehicles for over 20 years now. Our company has been developing performance car and truck parts for over 23 years. We've learned a few things over that time...

This doesn't solve nor prove anything regarding the issue at hand. I think the hard facts and proper testing transcripts, as well as first hand testimonials by trusted members are going to be the only way to truely gain my trust.

This is the last I'll be writing about this subject.
