Well, after I replied to this thread last week, it was still blue, today when I was cleaning my car I noticed that the blue is starting to fade away (I was the first one on the list), I was like WTF?, it seems that it fades according to use, as I have driven my car for 1,800 miles after I installed them 2 months ago.

I bought the oil to reoil the filters. However I put the stock intake on for a trip to the dealer. I was wondering can I go ahead and clean the filters and then reoil them, letting them sit for a few days until I get my car back?

Yeah, clean the filters, let them dry and then re-oil. While they sit any excess oil will run off(if you over-oiled), which you want to happen. Having them sit for a few days won't hurt them.

^chris, re-oil in this and other intakes with oil filters is a must, there's no way you can avoid it.

BUT, no negative talking here, filters loosing blue color seems to be normal for JWT according to their response, what's important is not the color of the filter, is what the filter and the intake can provide you. I'm begining to have the same issue/situation and I'm not worry about it, HP gain still there and the sound of it combined with my Greddy and Y-Pipe is music to my ears.

Hum, so what if we used K&N's filter oil, having a VR I'd prefer Red anyway. Also who makes the filter, why not replace with a K&N equivalent.

Interesting, Blitz offers a replacement filter: http://sgpracing-store.stores.yahoo....pcharger2.html

Also this one looks intersting.. no oiling? http://www.importpartspro.com/r2cpepoairfi1.html

I noticed something interesting when I went to clean the filters. They were blue again. They were not as white as they are in the pictures, instead they were a light blue. Do you think the heat was affecting the color and once they cooled they regained color? Anyways I am not going to oil them yet because they seem fine. Any suggestions though?

http://www.importpartspro.com/r2cpepoairfi1.html This seems very nice but will this fit the JWT tube opening? if so, it promises to protect the engine better against contaminants... thought?

JWT obviously changed up the dye at some point, and since they say it's just fading sooner than the old stuff I'd leave it alone until it looked dirty. If you're truly concerned though, cleaning and re-oiling won't hurt it.

According to Kyle, the contact on the site, they do have a replacement for the G37 JWT, the one depicted is for the G35c. I'm going to order a set, not having to deal with oiling will be great.

You can also order the filters from JWT for the same price, but it is just for one filter.

Were looking for the R2C filter for the G37 JWT Popcharger. Read up on it here:

Better flow, filter and no oil...sounds like a winner to me.

JWT uses the same filter for all their popchargers, with the exception of the 90-96 300zx. Just ordered 2 from Import Parts Pro for $144 ground shipped.. I'll probably get the filters before I get my popcharger..lol.
