intakes - cant make up my mind!
intakes - cant make up my mind!
So Ive finally decided to get me some intakes after the endless claims that the stock boxes are well designed already and that some intakes might decrease hp for the sake of the roaring noise cobb tuning's intake comparison did set me back for a while too.
However, ive seen many dyno runs and tests on this forum that prove that some actually give gains and thats whats killing me.. ive been researching for the past three hours literally on this forum and its 5.45am now so help a brother out [maybe if I use "help a sister out" i'd probably get more help ]
So this is what i would love for everyone who is reading this to do.. answer the following question:
If you were to pick an intake (not cause you're its distributor nor cause a sponsor sent it to you for free), which one would you pick based on:
Gains:
Sound:
Value for money:
Ease of installation:
[Would appreciate it if no one posted "Stock" after value for money and ease of installation haha]
I will post a results reply after every 10 replies to help everyone on this forum out with keeping up with counts.
Also, once I set my mind after this thread and order the intakes (i have my mind set on berk HFC already too) I will head straight to get an ECU tune.
In return, I will get as many before and afters as I can even if it meant that I have to $$$ more (I already installed the Magnaflow catback, throwing the stock catback in my trunk and driving to the tuning shop wouldnt be a good idea to do a before and after dyno run on that). I'll post all the before & after of different mod combo's dyno runs here. I owe it to this forum and its members. But till then, keep your votes coming.
Cheers,
Samer
As I always say: God bless this forum [Maybe I should include it in my signature haha]

I say take off the intake.
You don't need it. Just allow the engine to pull in as much air as possible. You shouldn't have an issue with dirt or anything in Dubai.
Out of these chooses I say JWT.

I actually had something else in mind.. i wanted to custom fabricate two tubes/pipes that run from each side of the front bumper into the engine (to replace the stupid closed black nets). I'd get better flow this way. Of course this is just an idea that came up while i was taking a dump so its 99% outta ma @$$ haha
you think it can be done?
