jwt review with help on lowering filter without triming

This is my first review so i still don't know fully how to do one but i will do my best

Installation: Well i took off the stock ones and started by installing the Jwt intakes. I realised that the passenger hand side intake is higher but figured out a way to bring it as low as the driver side without triming any peace of the stock aire holes. Took me around 1 hour, broke a screw though had to go to infiniti to get a replacement . The installation was quite simple if you follow the instructions privided with the package.

The Look: Found that they look great, but nothing special really its just an add on from the stock tubes that come out of your engine.

The Sound: That part is the one i love, after 4k RPM the car screams. Especially after the Ecu reset felt the car was much louder and the engine sound now supplements the exhaust sound.

Conclusion: I like the intakes alot, great value for the money and you really do feel a difference in the higher rpm's. Their is no real difference in the low rpm's, the only other thing is i found the car more nervous and responsive. overall i am happy

Did not put pics thinking that enough people have posted their pics. Hope the review was decent.

P.S. Thanks to Andy for all the help

Happy to hear that you like your JWT, now if only mine would ever get to me!!! It woulda been nice if you posted some pics, even though we have all seen them, it's still nice to see the work that you personally have accomplished, and of course a nice video would always be a bonus.

Thanks, are you still on stock Exhaust? I'm just concerned about a good many users getting CEL after intake, HFC and exhaust mods. I was going to invest in a y-pipe but it looks like we don't want to mess with the AF too much until we get a ECU flash to support it. I plan to stick with JWT SRI and tanabe till then and hope I don't see a CEL poping.

Here are the pics if it helps and a video at the bottom.

Close up of how passenger side was installed to help lower the filter,
if u realise i hooked the metallic thing and placed it from under (compared to the top pic from the driver side which i put the metalic thing from the top), that helped me solve somewhat the passenger side filter being higher. It gave me more room to lower the filter so it can be right in front of the air hole. I know some people were having issues with it hope this helps. I know its hard to see, but if you look closely you can notice a big difference. That will prevent you from triming any peace.

Finally this is a video of the intakes.

thanks for the report.

so you think the engine is a lot louder, what about normal driving around cruising and such, noticeably louder in the cabin or mostly outside the car?

yeah after 4k its pretty loud, if your cruising normaly you will just notice a small growl from the car, but to notice the difference you have to push it really.

That's good to know, I'll see how it goes without it for now, it would also allow me to see if I feel a difference after adding the y-pipe.
