any bumper melting issues with FI exhaust?

any bumper melting issues with FI exhaust?

looks like the clear coat/paint is melting on my bumper from the exhaust....only on my passenger side tho

ive had my exhaust on for mayb 400-500 miles.

anyone else have this problem?

All I see is a red X.

That sucks. I was wondering if my HKS would do the same thing since it sits pretty close to the plastic.

Interesting. Could it maybe be just a little loose and bouncing and hitting the fender when you go over a bump? Just a thought.

I just went outside to check mine since reading this thread and I don't have any issues like N A M. It's just wierd that your only getting it on your passenger side. Sorry to see that. Hopefully you'll find out what the cause is.

Ouch this happened to one of my previous cars. Sorry to see that. My quick fix was to bend the closest hanger. Good luck!

btw, is there anything i can do? like to cover that part of the bumper so it doesnt get too hot

don't they make some sort of heat resistant tape or something

i'd cover those cutouts with it

Hey N A M, did you try calling FI or THMotorsport to see if anyone else is having this problem? I would call to see if there is anything you can do.

i've found those CF cutouts...many they expensive...$200+ a piece


but i think i'm gonna try to bend the exhaust hanger downwards a lil and see if that'll help like Kuz said
