I know some of you enjoy the sound of the engine with the stock exhaust, but I am not a fan, especially at higher RPMs. I've heard a few different exhausts and they all sound too much like those imports running around with the coffee-cans-for-mufflers.

Any suggestions for a lower tone, maybe without the high pitched noise when you start revving it past 5k?

It's primarily the muffler. Replace it and/or the exhaust from cat back and that high pitch tone turnes into a deeper gurgle. High flow cats also give you a deeper tone.

My favorite= FI (exhaust or HFCs), Tanabe (mufflers only), Berk HFC
