It's nice and all. But not worth it. In no way am I disrespecting anyone. But these headers are $669+ shipping, installed $700-800, HFC let's call it $150, and $50 installed. That's roughly $1700 for 17hp. Just don't see it. I'm glad someone did this to give us the info and all. Just my opinion. Doesn't mean jack. No, it's not my car. So please don't take this out of hand. And I am talking from experience from wasting much money when I owned a Z. It's just these motrs are notinh unless FI. Bottum line. That;s money that could of went to that.

I think it's worth it. They really complement othere mods such as intake, HFC'S, and exhaust. The numbers may not be too impressive for you guys yet. However wait until they come out with a reprogrammed ecu. These dyno numbers should go up a reasonable amount. However i'm happy with them on my car. The STILLEN headers fit excellent and were noticably lighter than the factory manifolds. So save weight and get more power. It's a win win combination HA HA HA HA!!!!!

peolpe are claiming it's not "worth it". yes going FI is the best back for buck as far as $ to hp ratio...but not many of people can get a $5K kit + $1K install+$1K tuning to properly do it. hell GTM is asking $14K for their TT set up which is just lollerskates...

i love N/A cars, there is just something about going with how the n/a engine was intended to be and accentuating it. yes it's expensive, but not many people can stomach the initial cost or cost of maintience or possible pit falls
of FI.

you can also look into it this way...the exhaust set up you were getting for N/A will help better your FI set up if you decide to take that route.

How did they sound?

Sharif, how did the headers plus HFCs sound compared to the Stillen Exhaust? Was it really loud? I have the Berk HFCs sitting in the garage and am waiting for the Fast Intentions exhaust. I am considering the headers also but I'm a little worried about making my car excessively loud.

Thanks

I wouldn't count on it to much. When I had every NA part on my Z and went with a Utec tune I only netted 10whp from the tune. Also done by Sharif. Yes every motor is different, but don't expect great gains from these motors. I wasn't happy at all.

Now if this guy plans to stay NA, I'd like to see him add a plenum/spacer plus a tune to see what it puts down.

Your right about that also. It's crazy no matter what direction you take. There's still cost no matter. Unless you stay totally NA. Which is nice also. On short tight tracks a NA motor can hang and sometimes out due FI motor.

So far as GTM pricing which I'm fine with. But that's including the FCON. Which is pricey in it's self. But would be the best to have.

Loud is where it's out.

HFCs are closer to 500 bucks... and normally you pay 150 for the install of them.... after taxes and lil stuff your flirting with 2500 bucks... add a cattback installed and your looking around 3700 bucks... add intakes and your looking at over 4k....ouch ouch ouch... but ...hey ... its a hobby... mods are toys and luxury items... you gotta pay to play...

High Flow Cats = 450
Exhaust = 1000+
Headers = 700
Install = 1000
Intakes = 450

Total = 3600!!!

Weight savings prolly 50 LBS, HP gained total prolly 27-30HP Little nicer low end torque 20-25LBS... Now imagion you skip the intakes and get a supercharger! Everything thing will run more efficiant and flow better. You will get better gains from supercharger with the 8 PSI pully ... Plus it will sound MUCH better!
