i won it in a raffle at a meet and greet! It cost me $10.

I saw them on the Jim Wolf website for $400. I think some shops sell them fro around $325.

Look at my previous posts to read about the install.

i would post pics, but i have not ever posted a pic here, so i do not know how.

thanks,

I pre-ordered 2 of these yesterday with Andy at Hpautoworks, and yes, it's $319.

He told me that he has been in contact with JWT and they told him that should be available in 1.5 weeks. I really hope so. I will let you know of any progress.

I've heard the Pop chargers dont provide enough cold air to the engine in hotter areas like LA. Have you guys heard anything about this?

I'd imagine that some of the other systems out there would do a better job of keeping the hot air out (the little foam pads they use made me chuckle) but they should do an alright job for the money they cost.

FWIW, I don't hear any turbo spooling noise or anything similar with my pop chargers. Just a much meaner growl from the motor when I'm at WOT.

Pop charger is short-ram not CAI, so how do you define "enough" and how did you find this ancient thread?

I thought the pop-chargers were extinct.

so my question here is.....for about the same price...do these have a significant advantage over the Fugitas.....sound/ gain wise whats better?

The fujitas don't have heat sheilds but then.....the JWTs aren't CAI

Yes, get JWTs over Fujitas. Sound is going to be the same because they are both SRI (Short Ram Intakes), but JWT has the heat shield and has proven power.
