im just getting a new set of rims, i'll get an used exhaust a year from now or something, imo its not worth the 1k price for just the sound. tanabe will be on my list from a year from now or something.

I would buy the FI exhaust if it weren't for the tip setup. I really think this car needs angled/cut tips rather than the rolled plain round tips. Completely ruins the exhaust for me. I had the Nismo on my 350z and it was perfect in terms of looks. Just a tad larger than stock, but the same shape/cut. That is my biggest problems with the FI. I don't want to pay 1k+ for an exhaust that I have to turn around and buy tips for/find a muffler shop quality enough to work on it. Shouldn't that have been done in the first place?

As far as the others, I don't think Tanabe is a true catback and I had an HKS muffler on my Maxima that rusted through. Won't go with them again.

I had a Nismo exhaust on my G35 and LOVED EVERY SECOND!

Im looking for an exhaust with the same tone and loudness... I pretty much hate how the car looks like from behind with the FI exhaust. Im not a fan of how you see the mufflers so much.

Also there are only a couple exhausts out right now. Im sure in a few months there will be a lot more out... I dont want to settle for something for 1k

i think the FI system is really nice........except it seems like you can see way to much muffler in the pics that have been provided. If they could be tucked up just a bit more I think it would be perfect

I know its just tips and I had to extend the ones on my Nismo exhaust because of my rear valence. Was no problem at all but I rather not do it if you know what I mean.... Also changing the tips wont help hide the mufflers.

Its wild that you get so defensive if anyone complains about this exhaust or the company.. Dont get me wrong its GREAT the info you provide us and we all appricate it. We are just throwing around what we dont like. Other then those 2 things everything seems good...

But the tips are a big factor for most of us. If you are dishing out money for an exhaust, you do not want to hack up the exhaust just to add tips. I have had bad experiences with shops cutting off tips and re-welding new ones on. Why not have it perfect from the start?

I for one do not like the sound. It took away the G37-G35 sound too much. The tanabe and stillen exhaust kept the G37 sound with a meatier tone. Do you have the hi-flow cats installed too?

The title for the two videos on the second page are: "Fast Intentions Exhaust with HFC's" so I would say yes, he does have hi-flow cats installed.

Also, this thread is keeping me occupied during the commercials of the NBA All Star game.
