I have a set of tunning pros resonated test pipes from my g35 and was wondering if they will fit the g37? I'm gonna try to bolt them up and see if they fit? Just want to get your guys input!!!! Thanks a lot
Why does the check engine light come on after you install your test pipes? Everybody has told me that the light always comes on after you install the test pipes. However I had a set on my g35 and the light never came on? So if the light comes on does that mean it's going to damage the engine? If you reset your ecu after you install them can this reduce the chance of having the light come on?
Why does the check engine light come on after you install your test pipes?
The check engine light comes on because the secondary O2 sensor detects that the catalytic converters aren't doing their jobs. Of course, this is accurate, as your catalytic converters are in your garage / living room / sold on ebay rather than being a part of your exhaust system, now that you have test pipes installed .
Workarounds for this include ignoring the light, putting a spacer in where you mount your secondary O2 sensor, or possibly getting aftermarket ECU software that ignores the secondary O2 sensor.
