Moving from FL to Boston- Need inspection station that will pass 35% tint

Long time lurker, first time poster...

The wife and I are moving to Boston July 1st and I'm worried about getting an inspection sticker. Her white/graphite sedan has 35% tint on the sides and back. The max in Mass is 35%. I've read that most inspection stations won't pass a car with 35% as the factory glass is slightly tinted putting the total number around 25- 30%. It would break my heart to have to get it re-tinted. The 35% looks sweet.

Anyone know of a "tint friendly" inspection station? I'd be willing to drive anywhere...

Thanks!!!

I suppose they could, but I find most shops are just really lazy in that regard.

do what you want but when a state trooper or your local town po po pulls you over and busts out a tint gun, it is game over. I've gone down this road many time, going to shady gas stations to get my 20% tint passed on my g35 coupe. I went through numerous warnings and finally a ticket which I had to fight (removed all my tints). After that never again, once I got my G37 coupe, it was always the legal 35% tint..no more headaches..

do the right thing and switch your front windows to 35%, its not worth the constant headaches and harassment from police.

My car has 15% tint now and it came from Florida as well. I can get it passed but its going to be a huge headache dealing with the fines. Getting mine taken off and tinted to the proper % to avoid any unsightly future headaches.
