So I guess ya'll want to save money by buying a OEM replica made out of plastic and hand painted that who knows if it will match with your car?

It's guarenteed color match and It has a warrenty, And I highy highly doubt they hand paint it, do you honestly think that or are you bashing for no reason?

I have nothing against OEM- style spoilers, but this group buy is for people who are interested in buying the OEM spoiler. If you want to buy a different spoiler go ahead and buy that one!

How else do you think they paint it? I'm not bashing anyone, just like AceJack said, this thread is for OEM spoilers. We are trying to get a group buy on OEM spoilers not OEM Replica. If everyone wanted OEM replica then I completely wasted my time in contacting a dealership who was willing to sell us OEM spoilers for $5 above cost.

there's no guarantee on quality
there's no guarantee that water wont leak inside, stay there, and damage the paint. OEM has the rubber lining along the whole spoiler to prevent it, not 3m tape as in the replicas/oem-style.

the thread is titled "Group buy for OEM spoiler" not OEM-style
make another GB thread for OEM-style if you guys want it

for anyone looking for actual valid information the the Elite spoilers : I've spoke to them personally and this is what they said to me when I told them people were accusing them of hand painting :

" Are they saying it is hand painted like with a paint brush?

Ours are painted with a spray gun. 3 base coats and 2 coats of clear.

We sell quit a few of them and nobody has questioned the paint.
"

Dont listen to the people who think more money = better or even different for that matter. I'm not going to check back and reply because I know someone will try and make a witty comment.

try addressing my concerns. then maybe we'll talk $

btw, nickw i think datboiroy meant was that the oem-style are painted with a spray gun by hand where as oems are computer/machine painted?

That's what I meant. Who in their mind would think I mean't by a brush.

Are we still waiting for anyone else to post pricing for OEM spoilers?

if you guys wanna jump on the price you have go ahead and do it, I cant exactly rush these guys any more than I have without leaving a bitter taste when they are giving us a discount. Ive got 2 online OEM parts dealers gathering prices, I got an email from 1 this morning saying he would have me priced out in 48hrs. I expect both quotes by EOW.

Still working on my dealership as well. I won't be back to work until tomorrow morning and I'll see what we can do, however I highly highly doubt we can beat the $460 shipped mark. To some dealers they rather make the sale with little profit.
