Update: Why in the hell did Infiniti/Nissan use such a heavy spring from the factory?! This replacement is a night and day difference! I can shift again! I can get moving from a standstill without looking as if I don't have 3+ years of driving stick behind me!

Thanks J Solo!

Payment sent!

I'm really looking forward to trying this spring. I've been driving manuals for more than 20 years and have almost 200k miles on a manual Frontier in the last decade. After my first 350 miles this damn G37 clutch still makes me feel like an amateur.

I installed the spring about 10 days ago and it has made a noticeable difference. Clutch feel and modulation has improved and the car is easier to drive. While the RJM clutch assembly would probably get it a lot closer to where I think it should have been I'm not going to spend the $250 to find out.

Installation was easy, it took less than 30 minutes start to finish with me taking my time. A lot of that was just getting all the excess grease Infiniti put all over everything off. I did regrease everything before reinstalling. I only had to remove the pin that attaches the spring assembly to the clutch pedal, I did not need to remove the other pin. The only difficult part was getting the pin through the spring assembly, it took a few tries but was still only a few minutes.

Overall this lighter spring was an improvement for me and is the best mod I've seen for about $20.

Got mine installed after some time, took my mechanic 5min to install. Definetly feel a difference, I'm on my 3rd Infiniti 6-MT car and wish I had this feel for all of them.

just got my g37s this week, and was curious to how this spring changes the feel of the clutch.

it's stiff at the top while getting soft past a certain point, which i guess is the overly stiff helper spring? so with the softer spring, does it make the clutch firmer throughout? interested in this spring, but just trying to get an idea of what to expect.

Thank you

In a nutshell you get better pedal feel. You can get an idea by removing the spring entirely and drive it for a few days. Feel with the weaker spring will be similar except no play at the top of the pedal.
