its still a drivers race, the 5-10hp an exhaust will give you is hardly enough power to dominate another G... if both drivers are similiar in experience the car with exhaust will barely be quicker. As we've seen with dynos some of the cars differ even in stock hp numbers, so you may have thrown an exhaust on a G which had 2-5 less hp to begin with. If your trying to go "fast" I'd wait on more aggressive mods.

You are part right and part wrong. On the side that the exhaust is not going to give you enormous power gains, you are right. I mean, tested, the F.I Exhaust and test pipe combo made about 20whp of the 260whp stock. You are looking at an 8% increase in horsepower. True, any forced induction should produce 50-100% increase in power, BUT, there is a much greater cost associated with it, and you will still need a good exhaust to make that 50-100% work correctly. So in fact, whether this is a starting mod, or maybe just one for sound, you will feel a difference with the 8% increase over stock.
