New Owner From Taiwan

Hi everyone.

I'm a new member from Taiwan. Got my G37S (the only model offered here) last month. Needed a ride after moving back here from NYC and the G37 was the best choice out here in terms of performance, looks, and value.

I do miss my S2000 and I wonder why the G has to weigh so much. No other complaints so far. Have a couple of questions I'd like to ask since I can only understand about 50% of the owner's manual written in Chinese.

1) Does the car only have one reverse light on the right hand side? On my car, the left side does not light up. The dealer said it's normal but I'm not so sure.

2) What kind of oil does the car come equipped from the factory? Regular? Synthetic? What weight? I'm due for my first oil change soon and I want to make sure they do it right.

Thanks.

-Mike

In the US, there are two reverse lights, dealer might be correct I know like with Audi's/BMW/Mercedes only one rear fog light works.

Car come with convetional oil from the factory, that's what is recommended but feel free put in whatever kind of oil you want. Won't hurt.

Welcome to the forums! How much is gas over there? (in gallons)

Thank you for the welcome. I'll keep my eye on the pricing the next time I'm at the gas station. It's Taiwan Dollar / Liter so I'll have some math to do LOL.

I would not trust the dealer, have a look at another G. Only one light would be stupid=half the available light output??
Having one "fog light" light up in the back is entirely different, it has a specific purpose.

Congrat, 恭喜. Taiwan's gas should be slightly more expensive, but with all these rising price in the US and Taiwan Petro forced to freeze the price it might be pretty close now.

I have a 2005 NFR with only 12,000 miles and the lease is ending in August. I want to keep it but it's a car with 8-year-old technology so I'm not sure if will work out in the long run. One thing I'll say about the G is that it's fantastically quiet compared to the S2000. I can actually talk to other people in the car

I'm getting gas for it this week so I should be able to answer the question on how much gas costs here in Taiwan. I'll also try to take some shots of the car when the weather gets better. Again, thank you all for your welcomes.

Hey guys,

Just got gas for the third time for the G in Taiwan. I did some calculations and for those who are interested, it's about $3.75/Gallon.
