Ok so I have a 2009 G37S manual sedan. I recently installed a new engine and transmission, and before fully reassembling the car I wanted to see if it would start. When I press the start button, I only get a single click. No crank no start. Using an EcuTek scan tool, I'm getting code **B2193** in the BCM, which indicates a failure to communicate with the ECM. I bought a replacement manual sedan BCM off eBay for about $200, but nothing changed. I had a spare ECM and tried switching that with no chang note: I think some programming or configuration is required with replacement of an ECM but not entirely sure. I tested the starter using a Power Probe, and the starter itself checks out fine. I also installed a new key fob battery and a new car battery. I cleaned the grounds under the passenger floorboard and behind the glove box. Note:The passenger-side floorboard is wet. I'm not sure if that water intrusion could be causing the no-crank/no-start issue, whether the original and replacement BCMs are both faulty, or if both ECMs I have are bad. If anyone has dealt with this issue or something similar, please share any ideas or direction. I’d really appreciate it.

I borrowed a frends $2000 scantool and found new codes. P0603 - ECM backup/Circuit C1130 - Engine signal 1 U1002 - system comm (CAN) and B2193. I'm thinking the water intrusion on the passenger floorboard cooked the ECM but ill check when I'm off of work
Update / Clarification:
Due to misinformation online, I initially mixed up the PDC with the BCM and the VVTM with the ECM. This is a 2009 Infiniti G37S, manual transmission.
I discovered that the BCM was wet, and one of the connectors going to the BCM showed visible corrosion. I cleaned all BCM connectors thoroughly using CRC electronic cleaner. After that, I ordered a used BCM from eBay with the exact matching part number.
After installing the replacement BCM, the ignition would not turn on and the dash displayed “Key Not Detected.” I contacted a locksmith, who told me the data from the original BCM would need to be transferred to the replacement BCM. He said he would come the following day but never showed up.
I then contacted another locksmith, who claimed the vehicle was “stuck in programming mode” and referred me to a third person. Feeling skeptical at this point, I still had the third locksmith come out. He was able to get the ignition to turn to RUN, but the BCM now shows a U1000 code. He suspects this code is preventing key programming, or that the issue may be related to the ESCL (electronic steering column lock).
At this point, I’m unsure whether I should:
Buy a replacement ESCL, or
Tow the car to Infiniti
I’m also unsure whether the used BCM I purchased is actually faulty or simply not programmed correctly. I’ve been reading everything I can find online about this issue, but haven’t found a clear resolution yet. I even made an account here hoping for guidance, but haven’t received any replies so far.
