Ok so I have a 2009 G37S manual sedan. I recently installed a new engine and transmission, and before fully reassembling the car I wanted to see if it would start. When I press the start button, I only get a single click. No crank no start. Using an EcuTek scan tool, I'm getting code **B2193** in the BCM, which indicates a failure to communicate with the ECM. I bought a replacement manual sedan BCM off eBay for about $200, but nothing changed. I had a spare ECM and tried switching that with no chang note: I think some programming or configuration is required with replacement of an ECM but not entirely sure. I tested the starter using a Power Probe, and the starter itself checks out fine. I also installed a new key fob battery and a new car battery. I cleaned the grounds under the passenger floorboard and behind the glove box. Note:The passenger-side floorboard is wet. I'm not sure if that water intrusion could be causing the no-crank/no-start issue, whether the original and replacement BCMs are both faulty, or if both ECMs I have are bad. If anyone has dealt with this issue or something similar, please share any ideas or direction. I’d really appreciate it.
