I figured brake switch but even with a new OEM brake switch the brake lights and third brake stay on after ignition is shut off. Car starts without holding brake pedal. Cruise still comes on. Car drives fine except weak acceleration. My ‘10 G37 base automatic coupe is relatively stock power train wise, just 3” exhaust and cold air intake.
Did you check the rubber pad that contacts the brake switch? These are becoming more prone to breaking as these cars age.
See this thread which will show you what to look for.
I used OEM but Dorman p/n: 74015 seems to work just as well.
With this pad missing the brake lights remain on and the car "thinks" you are braking which is why acceleration is weak. The car is essentially "confused."

thank you so much! I didn’t know this was a thing. So that’s what that broken piece of plastic is on the floor. Thought it was junk because of all the other work I’m doing to the car.
This makes me smile. Been disconnected battery and scratching my head a few weeks. Knew it was something simple.
