So my hood won’t open! I’ve taken off the front grill and the fender lining on both sides and have diagnosed the problem to be with the driver side latch, it seems that the cable is very loose and isn’t releasing the latch. How can I release this latch?

Can you get in there and push that latch manually? I recall another thread on here about someone getting at it from the wheel well. This did involve removing the wheel well trim (that black stuff).

Yah! I just jammed a screw driver in there and was able to move the latch manually!
