Hood Stuck, Cable Latch Not Working.

So here's the shorten version...

Had no hood for 6 months, finally got a Seibon CF TS Hood.

Put the OEM strikers and safety catch on with the spring on the new hood.

Passenger side latch wasn't locking.

Had to take apart the latch WD-40 it and the latched worked.

put back the passenger side latch and closed the hood, it locked in place.

Tried to pull the hood release inside and it doesn't work.

Pulled the hood release and tugged on the cable. No Luck.

Googled for hours if similiar situation happened to a G37. Nope.

Googled for hours if similar situation happened to a G35. Nope.

Texted JQueen. No luck his advice, don't take it to the dealer they will break the hood. Hell no to the dealer and prolly going to do some bull**** aftermarket hood excuse and charge me an arm and leg for the repair.

Got someone to pull the hood release inside while i pull up vigorously on the hood. No Luck.

So my question is, how do i get to the passenger side latch cable? from the bottom or from the passenger side wheel well?

I can't go through the grill since i have the mesh ionic grill on at the moment...

Thanks in advance.

hmmm...going through the wheel well will be tight, but if you can manage it, that would be the easiest way (least chance of damaging something)

I had this happen, kind of opposite) where when I put the radiator cover back on I inadvertently kinked the cable to the passenger side of the hood so it wouldn't latch closed...maybe something like that happened so that it wont release now?

I thought JQueen had this happen last year. Contact him and see if he knows the details.

Have you tried pushing down on the hood while someone is pulling the release cable?
