My car will not turn on. It doesn't register either of my keys, and the battery is fully charged. When I press the start button, nothing happens. Is this a main fuse issue? Or could something more sinister be afoot? I can't find anyone who has had this issue, so any help would be great. I can't even get my car towed, because its dead on a main street of Chicago.

 

Do your lights come on inside?

 

I guess to be more specific does your steering wheel turn at all when trying to start or is it locked to where it doesn't turn at all when pushing the on button?

 

I just replaced my battery prior to buying my g and taking it home.

How old is your battery?

I got one month out of it, yesterday the car wouldn't start, even with a jump.

Same symptoms as yours, the interior lights, radio, and headlights will turn on, just not start.

The battery was at 9v and would not start.

I will check the running volts once I get a voltmeter tomorrow.
