09 G37 journey sedan electrics problems
Hello all.
So I was driving to go pick up another vehicle I purchased yesterday. I handing my mother the key fob (while driving down the road) so she could drive my car back and I accidentally dropped it and it hit the hard plastic seat bracket cover or whatever it’s called and my car flipped out. Not even a two foot drop but it hit just right apparently.
The service engine soon and key light came on as well as the low tire indicator started blinking. All the lights inside the car came on, headlights started flashing, wipers wouldn’t cut off and sped up, trunk opened, door locks and radio wouldn’t work, flashers came on, no speedometer or tach worked and a loud humming noise from underneath the hood. No air conditioning or heat. It freaked out as soon as the key fob hit the floor.
We couldn’t just pull over because of the traffic and road construction and the car ran absolutely perfect.
So we finally made it to the destination and the car wouldn’t even cut off. After a few tries it finally did. I disconnected the the negative side of battery and let it set while we done the paperwork and came back out and hooked it back up and now the service engine light is on and the key light is on. Everything else seems to be working fine now but I’ve parked it and disconnected battery to set for 24 hours to see if those light will go off.
Has anyone experienced this before? I will see today is there’s any codes. If it helps, it was raining yesterday.

Reconnected battery this morning, started car and everything including the key light and service engine soon light were gone. Everything is as it should be. Just took it for a drive and decided to visit the car wash. Washed the car, got home and passenger side floor was soaked.
After reading a few threads on that, seems a lot of folks have had trouble with the sunroof drain. I guess I will get some more insight via YouTube on sunroof drains for g37 and will update.
