Automatic Transmission sedan rear diff

I called up Infiniti parts department near me, the guy on the other line told me that two bottles of rear differential fluid would cost over $200 because it's an automatic. He said the automatic only takes a special semi synthetic differential fluid. I feel like calling bull****, but I want to check to see if anyone's done a rear differential fluid change on an automatic G37, and if they had to use a special differential fluid.

Uhm I call bull as well.

Google it. I found a couple threads on the first page for "g37 rear differential oil change".

It's been near impossible to find a post declaring the car manual or automatic. The second post you sent me shows automatic. Thank you.

The diff fluid will be the same for both RWD and AWD, manual or automatic. Get some good synthetic and call it a day.

I use Mobil one 75w-90 and used it on both my car never had a issue and I drive really hard if that helps, and it’s a automatic.

That's The fluid I purchased yesterday. I'll be changing it later today, thanks for the confidence boost!
