Backup Alarm??

Ok,, another question. 2010 G37 with premium package, navi, etc. Every other car or truck I have encountered with a back up camera, has had an audible beep that sounded when you got too close. I have looked through all my settings as well as my manual and dont see anything relating to this. Could it really be possible it doesnt have an audible? You would think there would be a cancel button or setting to turn on or off

My '12 with Nav has the parking sensors. Are they maybe turned off? There is a on/off button to the left of the steering wheel.

I didn't know you could turn it off either. Good to know. The '13 manual refers to it as the "Sonar System" and it's not in the same chapter as the "Rearview Monitor" for some unknown reason.

They’re not part of the rear view camera, IDK, I’ve never looked them up in the manual

The sonar system is technically separate from the backup camera. The camera shows you where you are and what is back there. The sonar system uses sensors in the bumper to audibly locate objects in their path. Here's a pic of where the sensors are, I think there are also two more each on the corner/edge of the rear bumper.

Yes, there are four of those "buttons" in the G rear bumper.
