Infiniti Elite care - 250 miles towing MISLEADING!

From the terms/conditions;

Infiniti Elite care - 250 miles towing MISLEADING!-bnl3vyy.jpg

The wording is very tricky. They will make "arrangements", but the limit of the coverage is $100. Good enough for probably a 5-10 mile tow. Making arrangements I suppose is open to interpretation, but according to the person I spoke with from nissan consumer affairs, it means just that, arranging for the tow. It's up to the owner to pay anything in excess of the $100.

Thoughts? Anyone actually been in a situation with this policy where the car required towing over a long distance or in the middle of no where? How did infiniti road service handle it, did you have to pay?

AAA membership provides 200 mile free towing as well as other emergency road services.

This could also be a little misleading.

I have AAA auto insurance & road assistance - When my G needed to get to the shop due to limp mode / engine gasket failure I contacted AAA and I as it turned out I only had a 5 mile range, after that there was a per mile fee.
I ended up calling Infiniti Elite care and it covered the tow to the infiniti dealer at no cost. This was only a little over 12 miles.

I guess just because you have AAA road assistance it doesnt mean the 200 mile range is covered. As I found out, it just depends the level of coverage.

TM is referring to the AAA motorclub, not insurance. They have 3 tiers of service;

4x5mi, 4x100mi, and 1x200mi + 3x100mi tows.

My concern of the elite care is that $100 limit clause I posted in the OP. Of course tow rates vary based on company, but last I recall (and this is some years back), many charge upwards of $75 just to hook the car up/service call, that leaves little per mile money.

Thanks for clarifying Jsolo, I do have motorclub in addition to insurance. I guess I have the lowest plan

No problem.

I'd still like to hear from others what their experience(s) has/have been involving towing using elite care over a greater distance (>5-10 miles) and if they had to pay anything.
