A/C Compressor replacement

I'm having my A/C Compressor changed this Sunday because I've been without it for some time and now it' the summer time in TEXAS, is there anything else I should consider fixing in terms of my A/C? It stoppd working while I was driving from the airport, I would turn it off and turn it on and the turn it off and the last time I turned on and noticed the air was getting warmer to the point it was blowing heat.

You sure it's just not low on charge? When ac systems are low on charge they will operate only in very short bursts, then not at all. It's a safety system designed to keep the compressor from locking up due to lack of charge and oil.
Check the ac pressure. If low, add the correct amount of r134 and see if the compressor will deep cycle and get cold.

Freon will be low when there is a leak. I'd check for leak before you replace the compressor
