Intermittent grinding in drivetrain (video)

My 2010 G37X is making a pretty bad grinding sound a lot of the time, most noticeable around 45 mph - in drive or neutral. It sounds like it's coming from the center just behind the engine maybe. A couple mechanics couldn't figure it out, any ideas?

video of it (driving on smooth pavement):

Hmmm, I hear clunking, not grinding.
