How to prevent wheel rotating while trying to remove axle nut?

I'm still pretty novice when it comes to doing car maintenance myself. Currently trying to replace the bearing & hub assembly on the fronts and I'm stuck at the step of taking off the axle nut. How do I prevent the wheel from rotating while trying to remove the nut?
