Engine Start

Hello guys,

I have a question about my engine starter. I find myself putting my car through at least 7-8 start cycles (On-Off) throughout the day when I'm running errands. Can starting and shutting my car on and off so many times a day hurt the starter or the engine itself?

I would say that a typical starter motor is good for 50,000 cycles, so if you're doing 8 cycles a day every day for 17 years, you might run into an issue.
