Your take on permanent dtc codes

I was wondering if anybody had any experience with permanent dtc ( diagnostic trouble code) in the g37?
my car is been excessively vibrating when I come to a stop in drive. I took it to The dealer three times to try to get a fix for it. they pulled a code u1024 Communication error out and didn't tell me it was a permanent Dtc. Head mechanic said nothing was wrong with it and denied the vibrations. I found out by plugging it in with the OBD scanner. It can't be cleared without a fix.
just wanted to know if anybody had extra info about these permanent codes before I bring it up with a dealership.
Thanks

Are you sure it was a U1025?
My documents don't list that as a valid code.

If it was a U1024, your VVEL and ECU modules have a communication issue on the CAN bus.

Was the check engine light on?

yes a permanent u1024 error code. No check engine light. It is a stored code.
