No Manual shift????

For some reason when I try to drive my car in sport/manual mode, it doesn't recognize it's in manual and just stays in automatic. I have a G37x coupe, what could be causing this?? I attached a video

The electronics inside the shift assembly can break. It is pretty easily replaced though

I've also had this issue come up randomly when I'm switching between D and M on my 7AT. Only happened once.

I didnt think you could you change just the switch, I had to change my entire shift assembly. Still pretty easy though.

This shouldn't be too expensive a fix. Dealer will also charge you the most for the work. So keep that in mind.

Here is a possible fix that doesnt include replacing the assembly. I cannot speak for if this actually works though.
