engine noise??

OK, so Tuesday I'm taking my G in for the dash lights going out and the drivers window button breaking, smh..
I have noticed in the last couple of weeks, that there is is a slight tapping noise, not like a spun bearing, but soft. It only seems to do it at idle. or when stopped in gear, but hard to hear anything over 2000 rpms
Is this a indication of maybe the dreaded rear timing gasket??? There are no lights on, and it runs fine. Is there a way to find out if that gasket was ever changed? and if not do you think they would do it?? I have an extended warranty that is supposed to cover almost everything.

Sounds normal to me.
Between the clicking of the fuel injectors and the slight mechanical noise of the VVEL system, our engines do make a little noise.

Typically if the rear timing cover gasket is leaking, you will have a check engine light and these codes: P0021/P0524.

Redline, Motul, or Nissan Ester will help with noise.

Well, I have no codes and it does run well. I wonder if they would replace my fancy clock that doesn't work properly?? lol

Napa has Enos, it is ester based, I was going to try that on my next oil change.
