quick coolant question

So I stupidly never really checked my fluids when I got my car (assumed dealer topped them all off) but about 2 weeks ago, I was cleaning under my hood and saw my coolant as almost at the low end of the tank.

So I filled it with the Nissan Blue and I looked again this past weekend and it's almost returned to the same spot. I don't have any visible leaks underneath the car or in the engine bay, wondering what's going on?

I mean I know we're going through a hot & humid summer but not sure if this is normal or not given the amount of driving I do or A/C usage.

Thanks!

With the car cold, confirm your radiator is topped off. If not, it's possible what you put in the reservoir got sucked back into the radiator.

Good replies^^^

No, it's not normal, you won't lose any fluid from it just being an overly hot summer. Put it this way, I've never had to add coolant and my 09 had 80k miles, and this has been in 115 degree temps many times. The tank is always at the "MAX" line when checking prior to a "COLD" start.

Just changed out my coolant for the first time and once it's burped it's last bubble the tank level should remain constant, the only variable is the level will go up and down as the engine heats up and cools down for coolant expansion/contraction.

It's possible that they did a coolant service when the car was on the lot and just didn't fill it full or burp it out, but hopefully your fluid level has stabilized.

If not, don't hesitate to take it back to the dealer and get it checked out.
