Question 60k Scheduled Maintenance: Mile vs Time

Disclaimer: Searched the forum, doesn't find what I need. But if you find it, please let me know and I will close this thread. Thank you!

Question: When should I do the 60k mile service? At 60k miles or after 48 months? FSM says 60k or 48 months.

Here's a little bit background,

Bought my 09 G37 coupe at 35k miles one and a half years ago. I'm the 2nd owner, car has 46k miles now. Have not done anything other than oil change (every 5000 miles) and replacing rear brake pads.

Thank you.

chances are the previous owner didn't do anything at those miles. you're well out of 48 months on a 09 car anyways.
Since you bought it 2nd hand if it was me I would change all the fluids at least right after ownership but thats just me.

I don't have the maintenance manual handy but what services are you considering doing at 60K? I'm at about 23K and 4 1/2 years old. Every fluid in the car has been flushed at least once, air filters replaced, etc.

I'm planning to flush all the fluids, replace in cabin filter, check/replace battery. Dealer checked rear differential fluid last time and it's dirty.

I would like to get you guys opinion on when to do it. I am not a car guy so any input is appreciated. Thanks.

If you car was serviced by Infiniti prior to your ownership the service should be able to be tracked. If they run the VIN# they should be able to tell you what was previously done to your car.

If you have an automatic transmission the fluid service isn't something that all dealers recommend. I would get it done at 60-75k miles, and some will just do a single drain & fill which will keep most of the old fluid in the transmission, so be sure to ask for a 3x drain & fill as per the factory manual. And expect to pay about $250 just for that service.

Yes, I have the auto transmission.

I am learning to DIY some simple stuff like oil change/flush fluids as I don;t have stand or lift. Worst case I will take it to independent shop to service. Not planning to take it to dealership unless they have special offer on 60k service which I wouldn't mind to pay a little bit extra for their service warranty and a peace of mind.

Thanks.
