Clutch pedal slack with new southbend clutch kit help!

Hello everyone,

I ordered a southbend stage 2 endurance clutch, flywheel, oem cmc, and zspeed hd csc. Had all these parts installed by my mechanic about a month or so ago. I have no complaints on the system other than how my clutch pedal seems to feel. I'll explain it as best as possible. When I press the clutch pedal there's no pressure from the top until I press into the pedal 40% in. That part is now the top of my engagement. I have had air in my oem csc prior to this install and bleeding the system fixed this issue. I have bled this new csc multiple times with no change. Everything was replaced with new components and everything else works. Any ideas?

I've attached a video for reference. Excuse my dirty Mats as I've been working on this car all month, and excuse my hairy legs because well you know.

Perhaps your mechanic was not as competent as one factory trained at an Infiniti dealer?

Did your mechanic follow all of the required steps in the FSM?

Aftermarket clutch will have a different feel and bite point. Our engagement is pretty high naturally. The RJM clutch pedal assembly would have been a natural compliment to those parts you added when you were installing them. It's still not too late.

If you able to drive off and shift, then Black Betty is right.

@telcoman yeah my mechanic is competent. He has his own 370z and does pretty good work. He's a tech for Nissan. I made sure he actually looked at the instructions since there were a lot of claims of a bad install due to not reading the specific instructions.

@black betty I will look into that! Sometimes my clutch pedal will come up some and stay there until the end of the day.. Then it's back to that super low point.

Thanks for the input guys!

Its not bled correctly or the master was not changed (not the first time I've seen a mechanic leave the old master in)
Pedal should fully return to top and feel great.
