Clutch sticking to floor after changing fluid

Hi guys,

Noticed my clutch would stick sometimes after some aggressive driving, after a few pumps it would always come back.

Judging that the fluid was very dirty (no particles in fluid), I thought it might be smart to maybe take out the fluid replace it with dot 4 fluid and then bleed the lines. We did this yesterday, at first the clutch would not come back up after multiple times of bleeding. Finally I had my friend open the nipple and I used a transfer pump to pump some fluid form the top reservoir through the system. The peddle came back up and we bled it again, pumped it a few times, and It was good to go.

Today on my way to work as I was engaging the higher gears (4th and 5th) the clutch would not come back up. I have checked the reservoir, it was at the same level as before, completely full. I don't think there are any leaks as the fluid is not going down. I feel like either there is some air in the system, or something blocking the master cylinder (pedal came back up after pumping the top). I dont think it is the slave or master cyl because my car was working fine before with the old fluid. Now the peddle comes back up very slightly after turning on the car and pumping and I can engage the clutch, later it will drop completely to the floor and I cannot engage the clutch.

Any Ideas what is going on?

I'm surprised that tool was able to generate the needed pressure to pump the fluid through. I've used this pump in the past to fill the diff or trans case. Usually making a mess by the time the first bottle is done.

Were you able to pump easily or it took lots of effort?

I guess if you have a good seal around the bleeder threads and nipple then you're not introducing additional air into the line.

Yea the pump itself is pretty janky, we had one person hold the tube on the nipple (purchased a different tube then the ones provided) one person hold all the hosing together because it is not really sealed, and another person pump. It was a very messy job, after a few pumps all the bubbles came out of the top resivior and we were good to go.
