No A/C, compressor not kicking on...help/direction ???

Car just stop blowing cold air yesterday. No compressor clutch lock up. A/C button on dash lights up as normal just no cold. 10 amp fuse under hood is good, how can I trick the compressor to come on, to see if It's that. I can check the high low side pressure but doesn't the compressor have to be running to get a true reading.

So I've looked into this a/c issue a bit more.
One question I have is should the a/c compressor spin freely when the car is off, If I grab the front of it (the a/c clutch) I can't rotate it. Now I know the pully can spin freely because the car runs fine and I can watch it rotate noise free. Checked my Ford and I can turn it freely, when not running the engine. Not sure if the Infiniti is using some special kind of compressor. No auto parts deals have one in stock for me to go check it out of the box.

Can someone verify this for me. Thx Rich

We'll as I thought and found my self the a/c compressor had seized up. Had a mechanic check in with his connections at a Infiniti dealer near his work/shop. The G37 compressors are failing quite often, just seizing up, not imploding causing damage to the whole system. So I had the work done by the Nissan dealer(because I'll never go to a Infiniti dealer here in AZ that sold me the car) that I bought and did work to our 04 Murano. Price was $300 cheaper than my quote from Infiniti and the parts are the same and also used in the 370Z. Total cost was $1295.26. New OEM Compressor charge was $883($83 more than I could by and ship it for off the internet, so I didn't get raped on that) and labor for the evac, flush, install, orings and recharge was $367.36

I didn't realize how expensive ac compressors were. Not sure where you looked but at Infiniti parts have the ac compressor listed for 697$ shipped. Glad you got it all worked out. Can't live without AC in AZ summer days.
