Kind of a weird spot to put this thread.
People remove their spares when drag racing for exactly that reason. Others have to remove it because they converted their exhaust to a single canister type. I don't think anyone would just ditch the spare for everyday driving since it defeats the purpose of having a spare.

No judgement here, buddy. It's your car, I DD my car and the few tenths of a second it would shave off my time is not worth the possibility of breaking down and having no spare
