cracked ac pipe due to "bad intake install"?
So i've been having a problem with my ac so i took it to the dealership thinking i would still be under warranty since the car is only a year and a half old. They tell my that the intake was installed wrong, so it crack and pipe and voided the warranty. Don't know much about where the ac pipe is but is this even possible? My intake was installed a year ago by some one who has installed alot of intakes on g37s and really knows what there doing
What intake? If it's a long tube intake (Stillen Gen3, Takeda, etc.) then it is possible that it rubbed the a/c lines and wore a hole in them or "cracked" them as you said.
Since the intake directly affected the a/c lines, then I'm not surprised the dealership would not cover the repair. But to void the whole warranty seems a little extreme.

I will almost bet its the Gen 3... had mine installed but too after reading all the problems I wrapped my intakes yet my AC tubes with plumber pads ...$2.00 at home depot yet only 1/2 thick vibration etc will damage those tubes and wear a hole in them or crack them...
Take it to a shop they can weld that Aluminum or replace it...
Or put your old air inrake and take it to a different dealership and say ooops? I dont know... I have factory air intake...lol ok you didn't hear that from me...lol
