brakes

brakes

does anyone know if i can put on the emergency brake and replace rear brake pads? or does the emergency brake have to be off when install new brake pads on rear. I have a 09 g37x sedan.. thanks

E brake has to be off.

Unless you're removing the rear rotors, I don't see what difference it makes one way or the other if the ebrake is engaged or not. The ebrakes on this car use a sort of shoe arrangement inside the rear rotor drum.
