How to keep music on?
How to keep music on?
This maybe a dump question, however I did lot of search but could not find any answer.
The question is, if I am listening to music then I poll over to wait for wife to pick up something, I am not going to run the engine so I turn it off, unfortunately the music is off as well. Is there any way that I can keep my music on when turn off the engine. I kinda missing the old day that I had a key turn starter......

...or the clutch, as the case may be.
You're kidding? Oh, I gotta try that! I love stupid car tricks. Thanks, rks!

I <strike>You</strike> wouldn't want to sit in the G to listen to music today while the wife shops. At least not without the engine running.
It's 36C/95F (feels like 45C/111F with humidex scale)
Sorry for going waaaay OT. Your question was answered though

Yes, the 2 quick presses of the start button with the car running will turn off the engine and keep the car in ACC mode and the music will continue uninterrupted. I thought it was pretty cool when I learned this too.
There's a huge downside though.. on just the 2nd day of owning my shining G, car sat in driveway with a dead battery just because I left the mode on ACC for a few hours with nothing running! Lesson learned, the hard way, I think I still miss the key.
First of all, you should have gotten a distinct audible and dash light warning when you opened the driver’s door while the button was set to ACC, whether anything was on or not. So that’s one advantage of keyless entry right there, i.e., saving your battery. Other advantages include not having to take out, insert and turn a key every time to start the car; the ability to open a door or trunk without a key if you’re nearby; a panic button on the fob that can help you find your car in a crowded parking lot, and better theft deterrent where a mere screwdriver applied to the steering column cannot be used to start the car.

Well, not knowing what year or model you have, on my ’08 coupe the chime is as loud and noticeable as my old Maximas (I’ve had two of them), so perhaps you have a problem that can be fixed under warranty.
At any rate, keys for automobiles are on their way out. They will become as obsolete as vacuum tube radios, non-electric windshield wipers, carburetors, window cranks, bias-ply tires, and sticking your arm out a window to signal a turn.
