Guys I got a 'weird to me' maintenance reminder today. I have 49,533 miles on the car -'09 G37 sedan -and up pops this indicator that says "other' with an image that looks like a silhouette of a dude.

What is this? I looked in the OM and the Service guide and came up with nothing.

If you hit your info button, then click on maintainence, I believe you can clear or reset those reminders.

Or disconnect your battery will do it as well.

 

One of the reminders may be for tire rotation. Sometimes the service guys will set them for you. There is an option to clear/set them from the menu. Do not disconnect the battery.

 

It is a user set reminder, not anything the car itself is monitoring and telling you to check. It can be changed, reset, or turned off.

 

Yes, my car had a bunch of annoying reminders set when i bought it that kept going off. You can go through the lcd screen menus and disable them and set your own if you want.

 

Don't you know it's the little man in your dash that moves the needles around? You should give him a name. He may get angry if you don't.
