sensor in front bumper

i have a sensor on my 2010 G37 under the latch of the hood , behind the aluminim bumper reinforcement .it attach to the black braket of the hood latch. i do not have this sensor on my 2008 g37 front end.

My question is : this sensor is broken in the plastique base of the sensor. What does this sensor do ? should i repair it with epoxy or buy a new one ? how do i call this sensor when i will ask to the dealer.

Thanks for your help guys !
Sorry for my poor english !

Do you have the TECH package? That only makes sense for the tech's air re circulatory system supposedly if it senses C02? ..don't know how or why it be used in other model?

"Advanced Climate Control System (ACCS) with auto recirculation and Plasmacluster™ air purifier"

I thought the G37 didn't have this air quality sensor.
The M is advertised to have it though.
