You dont need to replace the air bag. When any airbag component is disconnected and the car is turned on, the SRS unit will log an error and trigger the light. You will need to reset the SRS unit.

To clear the code:

1. Turn ignition switch from off to on.
2. Air bag warning lamp is on for 7 seconds and turns off, then turn ignition switch off within 1 second after the lamp turns off.
3. After ignition switch is turned off, wait for more than 3 seconds.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 twice. (perform 3 times in total)
5. Turn ignition switch on. (Now in diagnosis mode)
6. Turn ignition off to clear codes.

Modme, thanks again.
You diagnosed what the consult 3, couldnt even find.
Fail for the service writer.
Should be interesting when i cancel service appointment.
It should be also listed as "things the dealer has no clue how to fix"
