DIY Auto Transmission Fluid change??? Can't find
With the 5AT it is not sealed off. I am getting mine flushed soon by a neighbor that is a mechanic. All I have to do is buy the OEM fluid. The 7AT I know is a different story. Makes me happy to have the 5AT!
Oh, and as for what to buy, get it from dealer. It's about $10-12 a qt. Most flush machines need 16 qts and the car holds I think 12.

on the 2008 g37 coupe there is a dipstick in the top of the engine in the middle between the battery and the brake fluild. This is for the tranny fluid correct? Also can I fill it at the same spot. auto transmition
^^ you cant really feel through the dipstick, i believe you need to use a pump to get the fluid back in. I guess you COULD fill through the dipstick but it will take you a lifetime
If ur willing to pay 12 bucks a quart and it takes about 16 to fill, and also paying ur mechanic on top of that, might as well take it to nissan dealer n have them do it. I had mine done at a nissan dealer for 169.
Used 2013 7at IPL. 33k on the clock. Should i have mine done? Everything feels smooth even the rev match down shifts in Ds mode. Or Should i wait to 50k or so?. Also should i do the rear diff? I just did the engine oil

i want to change the tranny oil in my g37 auto sedan at the dealer, how can i make sure they actually do it? i have this paranoia that they charge for the work and dont do it, and i cant really make sure its done after the fact
omg are you freaking serious? its the dealer, the techs there are not going to rip your azz off like that. hey heres a sure way you would know the trans fluid was changed. do it yourself...
