**help car wont start!!!**

HEy guys ill keep this post quick and to the point

- I get into my car to star it up.....when i hit the start button all the lights, screen ect. come on and engine sounds like its about to turn over then stops......

- tried this a few times and NOTHING

- call a mechanic friend of mine and he tells me to jump start it (i thought the battery was fine since all electronics were working)

- try to jump start my car and same thing happens. lights come on and tries to turn over but nothing

- 3rd time i tried to start my interior lights start to flicker on and on and the battery and seat belt light on my gauge cluster are the only ones on and there is a constant ticking coming from the battery area

- i didnt want to disconnect the jumper cables while it was ticking but after 30 min it was still ticking and the battery and seat belt lights were still on so i had no choice but to disconnect

- while disconnecting the cables my driver side HID flashes on then off

- ever since i cant get the car to start and every time i unlock using my key the ticking comes back for about 20 min or so

the weather here has been really cold (about 10-15 f) the car WAS parked outside for a day but last night i started her up fine....warmed her up a bit and took her for a quick stroll around the area before putting her up in teh garage.....car has been in the garage ever since.....if it wasnt going to start i figured it would have done that when it was outside. not in the garage. calling Infiniti tomorrow since the car is still under warranty.....ANY ONE KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? not too thrilled about paying 30k for a luxury car and running into this problem withing 3 months of ownership

Hmmm not sure what the problem might be.

Keep the terminals disconnected overnight to see if resetting the ECU does anything for you.

Infiniti Roadside Assistance is your friend

That's weird usually when there's a ticking sound coming from the battery compartment it means it's out of juice...But you tried jump starting too huh. Try calling Infiniti Roadside <--I think it's free as long as you have warranty? (need confirmation)

Sounds like the car is not recognizing the intelligent key. This has happened to other members before. Try a different remote and try inserting it into the slot.
